Award-winning singer, composer, and speaker Cheryl Bear will be hosted by McLaurin Baptist Church on Thursday, March 8, at 7:00 pm.
Cheryl, from the Nadleh Whut'en First Nation community in northern British Columbia, travels across the country sharing about issues facing Indigenous women in Canada. During her concert, Cheryl will share stories, songs, and personal reflections, to help raise awareness of these issues. She is the spokesperson for She Matters 4 Canada, an advocacy campaign started by Canadian Baptist Ministries, for equity, to educate, equip and empower some of the world's most marginalized girls and women. She Matters 4 Canada was started in 2017.
There is no charge for this event, however a free-will offering will be taken.
